Leaving house

Coming home

The moon carouses

Silver foam

The stars spark

Our moon is ridden

Red dogs bark

Where your heart’s hidden

Why is leaving

Not like coming?

Why is coming

Not like staying?

I used to speak

What shan’t be said

On this our peak

I’d fall, we bled

The moon’s reached the hill

Ford’s in the lot

I lack the free will

If you watch sky

You’ll like the woods

When a love dies

It crushes your roots

You’re free to love

What you should forget

The coy moon above

Sends false regrets

I shrink to nothing

Looking at you

Explode into shouting

When the moon flies to view

What must be forgotten

May not be forgiven

What’s most misbegotten

Is hurling out heaven

The truck’s pulled out

You’re leaving again

My life’s gone about

Your turn, then
