When you look down at yourselves from the stars
What do you see?
Heroes without stories
Stories without heroes?
Or do you watch the nameless
Trudge barefoot to the orchards
Dull eyes lit by lightning
Fueling fires they can’t finish
Fighting wars and ending lives
In what was just another day
Should we write their forgotten stories?
Bring them bread?
Give them a new century
A better planet in a more forgiving galaxy?
Perhaps we can help
Or will you?
Decide soon
The journey’s almost over though the trip is just beginning
