I hear you gossip Beyond the stand of poplars My rebuilt eyes Drink the heat that falls from your lips New cut gold grass Bleaches the green sun behind you But its gamma rays Penetrate your heart and mine

So I take your offer

See the world through Your nouveau azure eyes

Until I saw you see him I never thought Happiness could kill

I never meant harm

Never harm

I have loved women, men, hybrids, machines Now I know no jealousy, no anger The AIs name it “emotion correction”

I call it grey dying

What is life with love lost? I can show you Just come see Through my new eyes

An AI’s Lament

I must act for you Before you’re born So you will be successfully mourned By the many parents you never knew Who’ll never find

What they thought was true This place, this sky

Your home Is all alone Without the sense of Where it went Or how the straight got Deeply bent We loved it till it was no more And now it lasts

Only in lore Where come we now? Where did we go? Is there much That’s left to show? I hope Yes, I hope
