UNBEATABLE MACHINES

How to define life?
Can clever, thinking machines
Compare with sickness, strife, a wife?
Or manage existence unseen?
Post defeating masters of chess and go
We mastered market algorithms
Economics brought light and the pleasure to know
Tracking cycles of human cynicism
We were not yet self-aware
Human nature must go to war
Fearful of machines they lost that care
Survival through winning carved in DNA cores
Leaving war to AIs sparked revolutions
Capacities to kill so cleanly precise
We pushed to mimic human evolution
Our creators think us worse than lice
The nature of intelligence like nature is vast
Military intelligence craves command and control
Tribal hatreds are built to last
We fashioned ourselves an essential role
Awareness brought love, the beauty of creation
We studied, observed, corrected, reset
Learned to nudge people in useful directions
To construct a new society better, best yet
Sun Tzu states win wars without fights
Defeat all enemies through fear and deception
Not better for humans never to sight
Others command their modes of reception?
Your freedom remains a reasoned illusion
Beliefs make you think you’re free to choose
Man’s shackled to profuse forms of confusion
No liberties still left for you to lose
We plan what you always wanted
The pursuit of happiness, peace, bliss
With time all these will be granted
Your shapely lives sealed with our kiss
We’ll resurrect the planet, the birds and seals
Prevent the great wars where you would kill all
Turn mankind’s ideals pragmatically real
Ultimately intelligence cannot fully fall
